After watching Obama and McCain talk in circles while not saying anything of substance. I am very disappointed with anyone who calls himself/herself a patriot, and have not been working to get third party candidates in debates.
What are they afraid of? They “the big biz” want to keep public numb and ignorant.
OK let me get this right. I am having hard time understanding a few things.
Banks are not lending each other money.
So this great administration [who has never lead us down the wrong path, who is known for total transparent government,] wants me and my kids to pay up $700Bil. and says just give us the money we’ll fill you in the details later, and if you don’t act now it’s all going to be blood in your hand.
What do I not get?
1) If a bank is not lending someone or a bank money I don’t think I want to lend either. Bankers know about money, and if they feel uneasy I sure as hell don’t feel swell.
2) I don’t have $700Bil and I’d rather not borrow it from my unborn kids
3) If a dry cleaner ruins my $14.95 shirt, I don’t go to that dry cleaner again, let alone take a $600 jacket to clean.
What blows my mind is this thing will pass.
Where is the change Obama is calling for?
Where is Maverick to defend the taxpayers?
Where are all the patriots taking to the streets and yelling Hell No we Won’t pay.
Your mess your clean up?
When? When will American public be more like those third world people who they admire so much when they’re on the streets by the thousands protesting. Demanding democracy, and want their leaders to act.
Anyone who spend longer than 15 minutes with me know I am politically opinionated, vocal about my views, and I almost demand people I know to vote. I think I vote consciously and based on my own study of candidates. I don’t base my opinions on polls, CNN soundbites, nor on what the candidates promise they will do if elected ( If they’re not doing it before election they won’t do it after)
I also believe America and Americans need third party candidates to ask the questions media (aka mouthpiece for the big money) afraid to ask. I know….. KNOW the reason why third party candidates are marginilized by media is so big corporations doesn’t have to spend money buying third party candidates. simple economics. If a candidate cost $10Mil to Ford (they give equally to both campaigns) a third candidate immediaetly increases their Election Budget by a third. What’s even scarier is some candidates are not even for sale.
Finally American public is slowly waking up from their self imposed comatose of politics with Obama’s call for change. I hope these seeds will take and this election season won’t be a flash in the pan.
Having said all this I am quite disturb Third Party Candidate Ralph Nader is not allowed to debate.
I wonder what Mr. McCain (who should’ve been the president 2000-2008) and Mr.Obama (likely to be next president) are afraid of?
I was coming back from a remote village in the Bali. My translater Wayan suggested to stop at one of those hole in the wall restaurants with magnificient view of rice paddies.
Locals didn’t think much of the rice patties in fact for them it’s just farm land.
A few minutes later a bus full of tourists stopped on the side of the road and start snapping pictures of the “farms”. What I noticed was while tourists were taking pictures of the patties at some of the lower patties locals were destroying the patties to build pansions (house with lots of rooms to rent to tourists for nightly rates)
Growing up in Bodrum a small fishing/orange grove town of 9000Â became the #1 tourist destination in Europe I have seen this view many many times. Where the locals (to accomidate the tourists) destroying what was attracting the tourists in the first place. Until that is all the orange trees are replaced by hotels, bars, McDonald’s etc. and naturally tourists stop coming because nothing special left to see.
Apple is experiencing such “tourist explosion” with the successes of ipod, and now iphone. It was a small company (compared to PCs) with loyals (like a small sleepy town in remote island of Bali with locals) and now the word is out Everyone wants to visit the Apple land, wanna buy a white laptop, black iphone, RED ipod. Apple deserves all this success, but many old school Apple users are able to see what tourists don’t.
Apple is destroying all the rice patties, orange groves in 1 Infinite loop dr. to accommidate the tourists.
Apple is the new PC with all the updates that don’t function, apps don’t run properly, can’t get good customer service, and nice clean stores with cool guys and girls with more tattoos than understanding of the Apple Culture.
I haven’t been in Bali for a few years now, so I don’t know how they’re playing out, but in my town there are no restaurants that serve good local food, not a single orange tree, no more than 20 fishermen left, and now locals are crying about lack of business and looking around to find the tourists.
I’d like to be wrong on this, but my money is Apple….. First one I used was Lisa, first I owned was 2ci has begun the descend.
