Can technology make people lazy?

I think there is a misconception about that. Most used example is kids can't figure out 8x7=56 without calculator.

I think people use technology as an excuse to be lazy. That's different

Thanks for the comment

Eh, it's only natural. The more technology there is, the less people will read.

However, I find it interesting that most people, if you ask them, say "you know, I wish I read more books. I would really like to read more."

So why don't they?

Technology has made them lazy.

He who can see invisable, can achieve impossible.

This was translated to me from Spanish by one of my Peruvian friend many years ago.I don't know the origin, but I liked it so much I thought you would too.

Ashodara.
WOW! well said.

I was just meditating on that.
I am working on book of affirmations, and the one I'm working on now is " I can be what I will to be" Of course as you already said the "I" is not the body or the mind that's here typing these words, but the "I" that is formless.

Thanks for being here.

This world they say is an illusion....a dream. Our thoughts and actions are like threads of a net that we weave around ourselves. A veil has been drawn over our mind's eye and we live out our lives bound and blind folded. Life, they say is a play of shadows through which most of us sleep walk.Few have awakened from this sleep and have tried to show light to the rest of humanity. They succeeded only partly, passing away, leaving behind empty forms to be distorted and misused by their followers.Holy books, sacred messages, rites and rituals, they say, are mere shells. The spirit within, having long departed, along with the Messenger. These shells and forms are mere signposts for those who seek the formless.....and only the true seeker, they say, will find the Path.

Hello!
I'm also a big Paulo Coelho fan and I don't know if you’ve heard about his blog
http://www.paulocoelhoblog.com
I started as a fan and now I'm collaborating with him and thought that you would like to enter his universe.
Check out the blog, if you want, or subscribe to his newsletter
http://www.warriorofthelight.com/engl/index.html

You'll see a community of warriors of light sharing ideas, dreams and most importantly following their personal legend.

QUOTE OF THE DAY:
"God, in his infinite wisdom,
hid Hell in the middle of Paradise, to keep us on our toes."

See you there and have a great day!

Just thought I would mention, you must be speaking of the old Old OLD South because blacks are not anything like Turks in Germany. You must be buying in to what you see on TV.

I live in the heart of the South, and I lived in Germany for a year.
